HOMES FOR SALE, STATEN ISLAND, WHY USE A REAL ESTATE AGENT TO SELL MY HOME?

There are countless decisions to be made when selling a home, and many of them will significantly affect whether or not you make a profit and  how much time it takes to sell your home.  A real estate agent can offer specialized knowledge in research, marketing and negotiations to help you meet or  exceed your goals.  According to the National Association of REALTORS, 82% of home sales are the result of agent connections.

A REAL  ESTATE AGENT WILL:

  1. Serve as your advocate and representative when dealing with buyers, buyers agents and service providers.
  2. Help you establish a fair asking price that also meets your goals.
  3. Advise you on how to present your home aesthetically to maximize its appeal to buyers.
  4. Control the scheduling of your home’s showing appointments.
  5. Provide a lock box if necessary.
  6. Design a customized marketing plan that will promote your home to give you maximum exposure.
  7. Check all  buyers mortgage qualifications when an offer is presented.
  8. Screen all written offers and discuss  their advantages and disadvantages.
  9. Assist you in making counter offers.
  10. Once an offer has been accepted, the realtor will facilitate the  transaction regarding home inspection, appraisal of your home and will handle any problems that arise before closing.
